Thank you for your enquiry regarding the German SV Health Scheme. The international scheme in this country is administered on behalf of the WUSV Working Group (BAGSD & GSDL). The process is explained below but in order to comply with the scheme, the following criteria must be in place prior to acceptance.

1 The owner of the dog must be a fully paid up member of either BAGSD, GSDL or the SV

2 The dog must be a GSD, registered with the governing body of the country of origin and the application must be accompanied by an official copy of the pedigree issued by that governing body in the country of origin (i.e KC 5 generation pedigree/SAS pedigree etc)

3 The dog must be microchipped and registered with an official body.

4The dog must be accompanied by ALL the enclosed forms, duly filled in and signed when being presented to the approved Veterinary Surgeon for x-raying and DNA sampling.

5 All charges for x-raying the dog must be paid to the veterinary practice at the time of visit by the owner.

NB Once the images have been submitted to the SV, they the property of the SV. The original pedigree submitted to them will be stamped by the SV with the results and returned to you.
